Summer in the City: 7 Go-To Spots

Summer in New York City brings endless humidity, thunderstorms and heat waves that aren’t for the faint of heart. But once the sun goes down, there’s a Havana-Nights feeling in the air - outdoor dining spilling onto sidewalks, live music and hot temperatures that carry into the morning. I’m sharing 7 of my go-to spots to gather this summer in the city that are perfect for impromptu celebrations or a milestone event.

Montesacro Pinseria

Best known for their Roman-style pinsa, Montesacro’s greenhouse dining room makes for a dreamy al-fresco dining experience. Flooded with natural light and a glass roof, this Williamsburg favorite of mine is a perfect space to celebrate all year-round.

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

Rooftops are synonymous with summer in New York City and the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn has one of the best. Expect a turn-key experience for your next social or corporate event with unbeatable views of lower Manhattan.

Gran Eléctrica

Gran Eléctrica is located in the heart of Dumbo underneath the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Their menu highlights market-driven Mexican food, as well as small-batch tequila and mezcal. The lush outdoor garden can accommodate up to 100 guests - great for private cocktail parties or dinners.

Celestine

Celestine is a Mediterranean-influenced waterfront restaurant tucked beneath the Manhattan Bridge. With sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and floor-to-ceiling windows, it offers a seamless indoor/outdoor venue for both intimate and large celebrations.

City Vineyard

Located on the Tribeca waterfront and designed to accommodate events ranging from 20 to 550 guests - you can’t go wrong hosting your next event at City Vineyard. The sunsets overlooking the Hudson River are tough to beat!

Bar SixtyFive

On the 65th Floor of 30 Rock is Bar SixtyFive - offering top-notch cocktails and floor-to-ceiling windows with outstanding city views. The polished and chic interiors, coupled with awe-inspiring views creates an elevated lounge experience atop the landmark Rockefeller Center.

The Press Lounge

The views speak for themselves at The Press Lounge with 360-degree unobstructed vistas of Manhattan’s skyline and stunning sunsets year-round. With 6,400 square feet of glass-enclosed interior and a spacious outdoor terrace, the options for events are nearly endless.
